Mrs Nikki Rayner

Head of School

Pickhill Church of England Primary Voluntary Controlled School school is a small friendly school with strong links to the local community.

"Let your light shine!"

I am delighted to welcome you to our wonderful, small village school. We have between 30 and 50 children on role, taught between 2 classes which are supported by a team of incredible staff who have your children’s best interests at heart.  At Pickhill we make it our priority to know and understand your individual children. We recognise that every child is unique and ensure we tailor our curriculum to nurture the needs of your children, so that we can enable every child to "let their light shine!".

Through our vision, we aim for your children to be:

  • Aspirational
  • Loving
  • Resilient

As part of the Synergy Schools Federation, we embrace Synergy School's vision of "Learn, Grow & Shine together" whilst we live life in its fulness.

What an eggcellent Eggstravaganza! 🐣🌸 There were Easter games, egg and bonnet decorating competitions, a bouncy castle, delicious burgers, yummy cakes, face painting, and lots of playing in the sunshine! ☀️ Thank you to everyone who came and to FOPS for organising another amazing event. Also a big thank you to all the staff who came to help — we couldn’t have done it without you! What a fantastic community event! 💛 And of course… a few egg-stra special jokes to crack you up: 🥚 Why did the Easter egg hide? Because it was a little chicken! 🥚 What do you call a mischievous egg? A practical yolker! 🥚 Why did the egg go to school? To get egg-ucated! 🥚 How do you make an Easter egg laugh? Tell it a yolk! Already looking forward to next year! 🐰✨
