Nick Stafford

Nick has been a school governor since 2015, first at Thirsk School, then Northallerton School (2018) and joined Pickhill School in March 2025.  In addition to a wealth of governor experience, Nick is Chairman of the charity Northallerton School Foundation, which provides financial help in educational provision for disadvantaged children. Nick is also a member of the educational appeals panels for North Yorkshire Council and Berry Education.

Nick is Chairman of Hambleton Brewery which he founded in 1991, his commercial experience provides a different perspective to school governance and he keeps active by playing golf, jogging and hiking.

About Synergy Schools

Synergy Schools is a federation of primary schools in the north of North Yorkshire. The federation was formed in September 2018 when Brompton-on-Swale and Crakehall Church of England Primary Schools successfully shared senior leadership capacity. In July 2021, the federation welcomed Leeming & Londonderry Community Primary and Pickhill Church of England Primary school into the federation.
